Training & Performance
Content Development
IRC has developed a strong process for the development of technology-based training content that can be delivered in a variety of formats. The effort starts by identifying measurable outcomes. This is followed by determining how the learner will be evaluated. By building a strong instructional foundation, focused on measurable outcomes, the content development can focus on achieving these goals. IRC develops Learning Objects to present content.
Learning Object Development (LOD) is focused on interoperability, re-usability, manageability, accessibility, durability, scalability, and affordability. Based on industry-accepted standards, the LOD process consists of breaking down each module within the course into the following components, 1) the learning objective, 2) the assessment questions addressing the learning objective, 3) the content being presented, 4) the interactivity or practice component, and 5) a review of the presented concept.
IRC uses third party tools like Macromedia’s Flash and/or Authorware 7.0 to develop courses. These commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) authoring tools have established themselves as market leaders in the authoring of technology-based content.
